A noted author, filmmaker, and songwriter will be visiting Knoxville at the end of the month to discuss the history of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Bill Jamerson is scheduled to be at the Knoxville Public Library on February 29th. He will present an educational program titled “Dollar-a-Day Boys: A Musical Tribute to the Civilian Conservation Corps” at 3:30 that afternoon. Jamerson has significant knowledge about the history of the Corps, having produced a PBS documentary and multiple novels about it. His programs are considered to be a mix of a book talk and musical concert, involving lots of original music.
