Students in many school districts across the county begin the Iowa Assessment tests today. Those tests were formally known as the Iowa Test of Basic Skills. The amount of testing done a day and the number of days it takes to complete the tests varies by age level. Northstar Elementary Principal John Keitges says he expects the elementary kids to do around forty-five to ninety minutes of testing per day, and take four or five days to complete the tests. He tells parents to make sure kids get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast. Keitges adds that he knows that everyone will do their “Panther best.”
