For the third time this season, the Pella High boys basketball team faces Grinnell, with tonight’s game deciding who gets to advance in the Class 3A District Tournament, and who goes home for the season. The Little Dutch are 14-7 overall, winners of six of their last seven games, and coming off of a runaway victory over Carlisle on Monday night. The Tigers, meanwhile, are also coming off of a lopsided victory in Monday’s opening round, and carry an 18-4 overall mark into tonight’s contest. The two teams split the regular season series, with Pella most recently winning in a 60-58 overtime contest in Grinnell on February 3rd. Tonight’s Class 3A District Final is being held in Newton, and will be broadcast live on 92.1 fm KRLS with Eric Gotschall and Randy Sikkema providing the play-by-play. Coverage from Newton High School begins at 6:40 p.m.
