New Businesses, Artisans, Retailers, Others Given Opportunities to Start with “Incubator-Like” Settings

A number of spaces in downtown Knoxville are being used to help people start and grow their own small business. The Main Street Market and Founders are both retail-related areas that could be used for entrepreneurs, artisans, home retailers, and more. Elsie Kemp and Carolyn Formanek are working together on those areas. They say they want to fill some niche shopping markets that aren’t available in Knoxville. Mikol Sesker is also working toward a soft launch of a co-working space in April on the downtown square. Click here for more information on those spaces.
