PCM’s wrestlers proved Saturday that it’s not always quantity, but quality that matters, as their five wrestlers ripped through the field in the Class 2A District Wrestling Meet held at PCM High School. The Mustangs finished with 82 points to take second place in the team standings, behind Bondurant-Farrar’s 90 points.

The Mustangs finished the day with four champions: Dalton Kingery at 126 pounds, Bryce Wignall at 138 pounds, Zach Findlow at 182 pounds and Jake Tool at 285. PCM’s fifth District qualifier – Josh Drew – finished third at 220. Kingery is now 36-0 this season, Wignall improved to 27-8, Findlow is 25-8 and Jake Tool carries a 32-1 record to the big dance.

The Mustangs’ four State Meet qualifiers are all seniors, and will begin their pursuit of a state title on Thursday in Session Two of the State Wrestling Meet in at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
