It’s back to the Little Hawkeye Conference tonight for the Pella High basketball teams, as they hit the road to take on Grinnell.
Lady Dutch head coach Jerod Garland says the Tigers are a young team, and his squad will need to try and take advantage of that inexperience to find ways and win the game. Pella defeated Grinnell in the first meeting between these teams in early January.
While the Grinnell boys seem to have a lock on the top spot in the league race, Little Dutch head coach Mark Core says tonight’s game still presents an important opportunity for his team to take another step forward in their preparation for the postseason. He adds that his team is really focusing on more consistent play, and recognizes that Grinnell will be a very tough team to beat on their own floor.
Both varsity basketball games between Pella High and Grinnell will be streamed live at kniakrls.com, with Eric Gotschall and Randy Sikkema providing the call – starting at 6:00 p.m. The game will also be featured in a delayed broadcast on 92.1 fm KRLS following tonight’s Pella Christian game.
