The Pella and Pella Christian basketball teams are facing off on Tuesday at Pella Christian High School, and the game will hold several charity events. Pella Christian is encouraging the crowd to come dressed in pink instead of team colors, to help raise cancer awareness. For a small donation people will be able to put the name of a loved one who has fought with cancer on a paper brick, and help build a wall of hope in the commons area at the school. Additionally before the games start, Pella Dollars for Scholars will be hosting their second soup supper for the year. The soup suppers are meant to help raise awareness of the scholarship organization. Jim Palmer, President of Pella Dollars for Scholars tells KNIA/KRLS News that the last supper was possibly the best they have ever had, so they have high hopes for this one. The basketball games are Tuesday, and will be broadcast live on 92.1 KRLS starting shortly before 6:00.
