The Pleasantville boys basketball team begins what they hope will be a strong run in the postseason tonight, as the Trojans host rival Martensdale-St. Mary’s in a Class 1A District Quarterfinal match-up. Pleasantville’s 18-3 overall record helped them pick up a first-round bye and spend and entire week preparing for the Blue Devils, who are 13-9.

The Pride of Iowa Conference rivals faced each other twice in the regular season, with Pleasantville picking-up a pair of hard-fought eleven and eight-point victories. You can hear all of the action, live from Pleasantville, on kniakrls.com with Derek Cardwell and Trevor Miller there for the call. Coverage begins at 6:45 p.m. tonight.
