The Marion County Board of Supervisors took action this week that could save the county around 400,000 dollars over the next 12 years. The Board approved refunding bonds from the 2005 Law Enforcement Center project. Supervisor Craig Agan says that he’s very happy that the county will be able to save money. He’s even prouder that they were able to work with two local banks – Iowa State Savings Bank in Knoxville and Marion County Bank in Pella – in order to complete the project. Those banks will together refinance the remaining balance on the Law Enforcement Center.
