Two to five inches of snow is expected today as Marion County has been listed under a Winter Weather Advisory. The National Weather Service reports that a mix of snow and rain will develop throughout the morning and into the early afternoon hours before transitioning to all snow by late this afternoon. The snow will taper off by late this evening. They warn that conditions may quickly deteriorate by mid-to-late afternoon, leading to visibilities of less than one half mile at times into the evening hours, especially during rush hour. The Advisory goes into effect at 9am and is set to expire at midnight.
