[simage=5136,200,y,left] A jury found Terry Cobbins Jr. guilty of first degree murder yesterday morning in Marion County District Court. Cobbins was arrested last year in the death of Teresa Miller after allegedly being paid by Teresa’s husband Michael Miller to commit the crime. Cobbins now faces up to life in prison without parole. Michael Miller is scheduled to go on trial later this month for the same charge.

Marion County Attorney Ed Bull says getting the conviction is a bittersweet feeling. Though he’s satisfied with the conviction, he notes nothing that happened in the courtroom can bring back Teresa Miller.

Bull tells KNIA/KRLS News that getting a conviction such as this takes a lot of coordination and effort from many parties. He says that there are thousands of pages of documents to come over, and he’s very grateful for the tireless work of everyone who helped.

He thanks the Attorney General’s Office for their work on the case, including Assistant Attorney General Andy Prosser and victim-witness coordinator Candis Lockard. He also says law enforcement was essential in the case. He thanks the Sheriff’s Office and DCI, especially DCI Case Agent Tony Birmingham.

Bull also says that he and his team are very grateful for the dedicated service of the jury for their dedicated service. The trial took eight days.
