[simage=7248,max,n,center,]The Pella Rural Fire Department responded to an out of control grass fire North of Otley Tuesday afternoon. The blaze was put out quickly once the firefighters arrived on scene. Since then, Pella Rural Fire has responded to two more calls for grass fires. Indiana Township Fire Department responded to an out-of-control grass fire earlier in the day as well, and in the last several days many grass fires have been reported around the county. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reminds people that they should call in a controlled burn before proceeding, and that the combination of wind and dry, warm conditions make burning very dangerous.
