Wednesday students from across central Iowa will be at Central College. More than 400 high school and middle school students will compete at the regional History Day Competition. Students will present projects centered on historical figures, events, issues and ideas to judges in both Junior and Senior divisions. The top entries will be advanced to the state competition in Des Moines. Potentially those students can advance to the national finals, held during the summer in Maryland. This year’s theme for the competition is, “Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History.” Central College has hosted History Day events, eight years in a row.
