The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum has announced that Jeff Gordon will be the featured driver in the 2012 Salute to Champions Exhibit. Hall of Fame and Museum Director Bob Baker confirmed that to KNIA/KRLS News Wednesday afternoon. He says that they will feature a number of different Gordon cars starting on August 1st.

Baker comments that the point of the exhibit it to show how sprint car driving has sprung the career of many drivers that have gone on to more recognized circuits. Gordon is a four-time series champion at NASCAR’s top circuit. He was a midget and silver crown champion before that and spent much of his teenage years racing sprint cars.
