The jury is now in deliberation after closing arguments wrapped up yesterday morning the case against Terry Cobbins, Jr. Cobbins is charged with first degree murder after being accused of killing Teresa Miller in January 2011.

The defense told jury members during their closing argument that facts do not prove without a shadow of a doubt that Cobbins was involved in Teresa’s death. They admit Cobbins knew that his boss, Michael Miller, wanted his wife dead, and that Mike had asked Cobbins to do so. But they say that Cobbins didn’t commit the crime and had no knowledge of the plan on January 7, 2011. The defense continued by telling the jury that Bernard Bussey’s testimony could be flawed, pointing out that Bussey had lied in the deposition.

Assistant Attorney General Andy Prosser told the jury that even without Bussey’s testimony, the evidence is still overwhelming, and the evidence proves that Cobbins went into the Miller residence and killed Teresa Miller.
