The Knoxville girls basketball squad did not have the season they are used to. 5-17 was the end of season record following the first round regional loss to Pella. However…the Panthers finished much stronger than they started. From a 1-13 start, Knoxville ended the season with a 4-4 record in the last eight games. Coach Jim Utiermarkt says the girls started to put four quarters of basketball together, and played much better. Utiermarkt says the new flex style offense was a challenge for everyone to master after the last few seasons of and up tempo style.
