After a run to the Class 2A State Quarterfinals this school year in both football and basketball, the PCM boys track and field squad is hoping to see more success in yet another season. Mustangs’ head coach Ben Anderson says his athletes have the right mindset to help them reach individual and team goals this season.

“We’ve always been one of those schools where we feel success breeds success,” said Anderson. “The kids don’t like failing, but if they come here and work hard and do what they’re asked everyday that they don’t fail anyway. That’s just at least the way I feel.”

Part of what has helped the PCM boys become such a strong program is the level of competition they face. They’ll start off with a solid meet in their own conference, as the Mustangs will compete outdoors for the first time this season on March 29th at Roland-Story.
