When the track and field season comes to an end this spring at Knoxville…the Randy Wilson Track is getting some much needed repair. High school Athletic Director Randy Wilson…for whom the track is named after says work will start in late May and complete replacement of the entire track, along with replacing the high jump pit, and improve the long jump pits will be done. Wilson says the project is rather extensive. He says when it was inspected earlier this fall…the track was found have several areas where the black top under the surface had completely worn away. Wilson add the track will be shut down to walkers and runners for a couple of months so the work can be completed.
