Despite managing just three hits, the first-place Central College baseball team rallied for another dramatic victory Friday – a 7-4, 10-inning win over the University of Dubuque. Trailing 4-3 entering the ninth inning, the Dutch forced extra innings by landing Jordan Judkins on base with a walk, then moving him around on a hit batter and a ground out; and scoring the tying run on a two-out balk.

In the tenth inning, Central used two walks, two errors, a wild pitch and a single to score three runs and secure the win. The Dutch are off to a surprising 18-4 start overall and are 8-1 in the Iowa Conference. They’ll wrap up the series with a doubleheader today that will start two hours earlier than scheduled because of the threat of bad weather.
