Central College’s Joel Pulliam has been named the Iowa Conference male athlete of the week.  Meanwhile Ethan Miller was cited as the league’s men’s outdoor field athlete of the week for track and field and Justin Livingston was named the men’s golfer of the week.

Pulliam tossed a 4-hit complete-game shutout in a 5-0 victory at Loras College Friday. He struck out 12 batters and walked only one. Pulliam also pitched three innings of relief Tuesday to pick up the win in Central’s 4-3, eight-inning walk-off victory over Simpson College, raising his record to 5-0. It’s the third time he’s been tabbed as a performer of the week.

Miller, a 10-time all-America honoree, missed most of the indoor season due to injury, but took first place in the Washington-St. Louis Invitational decathlon Friday and Saturday. Miller’s 6,674 points ranks first in the NCAA Division III thus far this spring. It’s the 11th time he’s received league performer of the week honors.

Livingston took medalist honors at the Hamilton Saints Invitational in Port St. Lucie, Florida, March 17th, then tied for 10th place Sunday and Monday in helping Central capture the title at the Webster Gorlok Invitational. Livingston carded a 3-under-par 69 in winning in Florida. In Missouri, Livingston shot 71-79—150 at the Forest Park Golf Club and the Sunset Country Club in St. Louis.
