[simage=4684,200,y,left] 24-year-old Gregory Griffith has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. He made the plea yesterday morning in Marion County District Court. Griffith was arrested in 2010 after the vehicle he was in was pulled over and found to have materials commonly used together to make meth in it. Three others in the vehicle at that time pled guilty to conspiracy charges last year.

Griffth went to trial last December on a more severe conspiracy charge, which ended in a hung jury. His prison sentence will be served concurrently with one he is currently serving from a Mahaska County case. He will be eligible for parole after five years.
