Today the people of Iowa honor Sgt First Class Eddie Viers of Swan as he is laid to rest. Viers was last seen in 1950 in South Korea as our troops engaged the North Koreans at the Battle of Bloody Gulch, but his remains have only recently been recovered. What happened during the Battle of Bloody Gulch? What did Viers likely experience that day? What was accomplished in that battle, and in the war in general? And how can we honor the memory of Viers, and the efforts of our other Korean War veterans?

Join us today as Dr. Bob Leonard goes “In Depth” with Paul Edwards, Professor and Senior Fellow at the Center for the Study of the Korean War at Graceland University, Independence, Missouri Branch.
