The Knoxville School Board has set a public hearing for April 23rd regarding the specifications of the auditorium project. SVPA Architects representative Vitus Bering gave the board a report on the interior designs of the building before they approved the design this week. The auditorium will be approximately 25,000 square feet and have a capacity of around 700.

Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack says that many of the color boards and artist renderings of the building will be on display at the high school over the next couple weeks ahead of the public hearing. Once the specifications are approved, the project will be sent out for bids. Bering told the board that he expects to get started in June, with building completed in July 2013.
