Central College junior Justin Livingston has been named the Iowa Conference men’s golfer of the week. Livingston shares the honor with Buena Vista’s Troy Ticknor. Both golfers tied for fourth at the Buena Vista Spring Invitational Saturday. Livingston carded a 72-77—149 on the par-72 Lake Creek Country Club and led the Dutch to a third-place finish in the 19-team field after a tiebreaker determined the three-way tie for first.

It’s the second time this season Livingston has been cited. The all-conference golfer was also listed April 2.

The tourney was Central’s final tune-up before the 72-hole league tournament. The first two rounds will be played on Central’s home course, the par-72 Bos Landen Golf Club, Friday and Saturday. The final 36-holes will be carried out at the Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City May 4-5. The Dutch have captured 29 league championships, including the last three.
