Only 43 points separated second and ninth places in Tuesday night’s track and field invitational at East Union, which saw the Melcher-Dallas girls tie for seventh place with 40 points. Villisca obliterated the field with 174 points to take the team title.

It was a big night for Delaney Jensen, who tied for first in the high jump, finished third in the 800 and 1500 Meter Runs, and ran the anchor leg on the Saints’ bronze-winning Distance Medley Relay team. The Melcher-Dallas girls also finished 3rd in the 4×800, 4th in the 4×400 and 5th in the 4×200 Meter Relays, among other highlights.
