After splitting singles play, the Pella High girls tennis team rallied for three big wins in doubles to defeat Newton 6-5 Tuesday night in Pella. Zoe Vermeer and Anna VanRoekel were both dual winners for the Lady Dutch, as Vermeer claimed wins at No. 3 singles and teamed up with Tiffany Carter to win at No. 2 doubles; while VanRoekel notched a victory at No. 5 singles and added a win at No. 4 doubles with teammate Sami Wassenaar. It was the first dual win of the season for the Pella High girls tennis team, who will hit the courts again Thursday to host Oskaloosa.
