The Pella Christian girls’ soccer team picked up its second win of the season by shutting out South Tama 2-0 Tuesday night.

Bri Warden scored the Lady Eagles’ first goal on a chip over the Trojan goalkeeper; and while Pella Christian pounded the South Tama goal with 20 shots, they could not score their second goal until the only three minutes remained in the contest. This time Christina Nolte tapped the ball in after Warden’s shot missed its mark.

Jalissa Morgan and Kayla Van Wyk each recorded 21 defensive stops. Shelby Sytsma recorded 20 defensive stops. Eagle goalkeeper Jenna Roose made 9 saves in notching the shut-out win.
