Defense continues to be a strong suit for the Pella Christian girls soccer team, but the offense has yet to score a goal, as the Lady Eagles suffered a 1-0 loss to Grinnell Monday night. The Tigers’ only goal came on a penalty kick one minute into the second half.

It’s the third straight game the Pella Christian girls have been defeated by a 1-0 margin, after dropping a pair of games to Des Moines North and Davenport West by the same spread over the weekend. Shelby Sytsma led the Pella Christian defense with 40 defensive stops, and Jenna Roose had nine saves in goal for the Lady Eagles, who fall to 0-6 on the season.
