After a pair of meets at Norwalk within days of each other, the Pella Christian boys golf team had most of the past week to focus on improvements that were identified during their first two competitions of the season. Eagles’ head coach Jim Dingeman says the areas that needed the most improvement were pretty obvious to him and his players.

“We’ve got to work on our putting. Putting was clearly the difference on Friday. We’re concentrating on that and course management,” said Dingeman. “We’re working on taking a second to look at what the hole looks like, where you’re at on the course and what kind of shot you need to hit to get in good position.”

The Pella Christian boys golf team gets in one more practice Monday afternoon before getting the opportunity to host their first meet of the season on Tuesday; when Oskaloosa comes to the Tulip City to face the Eagles’ at the Bos Landen Golf Club.
