Despite falling 4-0 in their season opener at Pella Christian, the PCM boys soccer team showed some very promising signs, and that has head coach Darrin Telfer excited to see the Mustangs hit the pitch again tonight.

“We learned a lot from our first game. The old saying for coaches is that you learn a lot between your first game and your second game,” said Telfer. “We’ll see where some kids want to fit in and where they’re willing to fit as a team to finish better.”

This time it’s Grandview Park Baptist that will host PCM, and Telfer says he’s still using the early games to solidify a consistent line-up and rotation. Tonight’s JV/Varsity doubleheader at Grandview Park Baptist is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
