PCM Girls Golfers Start Season Hot; Breeze Past E-B

Enjoying another evening of mild weather conditions, the PCM girls golf squad got its season off to a strong start, defeating Eddyville-Blakesburg in a dual meet Tuesday night at Harvest Point Golf Course in Oskaloosa. The Mustangs finished with a team score of 193 – just three strokes from tying the school record – and well ahead of the Rockets’ round of 252. Rachel Phifer carded a 46 to take medalist honors, and Maddie Peters was close behind with a 48 for runner-up; as PCM’s highest score of the night tied the lowest score for Eddyville-Blakesburg. The Mustangs will host Pleasantville on Thursday.
