A near sweep in doubles play helped the Pella High boys tennis team notch an 8-3 victory over North Polk Monday evening. The Little Dutch swept every doubles match in straight sets, except for No. 2 doubles, where the duo of Michael Schemm and Jamison Roozeboom was edged 5-7, 7-5, 10-12 in an ultra-competitive match.

In singles, Pella got victories from Brannon Johnson, David Lapthorn and Tom Palmer at the No. 1 through 3 seeds; and Roozeboom at No. 6 singles.

2. David Lapthorn defeated Ryan Nichols 6-3, 6-2
