A trio of impressive team scores provided a preview of what may be on display for the Little Hawkeye Conference boys golf meet next week, as Pella Christian led the pack in a victory Tuesday night at Pine Knolls Country Club in Knoxville. The Eagles fired a 167 as a team, four strokes in front of second-place Grinnell. Host Knoxville was not far back, carding a team score of 189.

Grinnell’s Zach McGriff fired a 37 for medalist honors, and Drew Stravers of Pella Christian put up a 38 for runner-up. Knoxville’s low round came from Kaden Losher, who penciled a 45 on his home course. All three teams and the rest of the conference will be back in Knoxville Monday for the league tournament.
