The Lady Dutch landed three first place finishes, but cross-town rival Pella Christian was simply too strong from top to bottom, as the Lady Eagles won the team title in Saturday’s Pella High Girls Tennis Invite.  Pella Christian tallied 173 total points, 19 in front of Pella High.  Indianola took third, Knoxville scored 98 points to finish fourth, and Oskaloosa finished in fifth place.

The Lady Eagles got wins from Aubree Else at No. 1 singles, along with the No. 1 doubles team of Megan Van Kooten and Paige Engbers.  Just as important were the pairs of second and third-place finishes that Pella Christian added to fill out their scoresheet.  Pella High, meanwhile, had more first place finishes, with Morgan Ernst and Zoe Vermeer winning No. 2 and No. 3 singles; and the duo of Anna VanRoekel and Sami Wassenaar finishing on top in No. 2 doubles.
