A win over a ranked 3A opponent and a string of shutouts helped the Pella High girls soccer team move up on spot in the latest Class 2A Girls Soccer rankings. The Lady Dutch are up to No. 5 in the latest rankings from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. Cedar Rapids Xavier holds on to the top spot in Class 2A.

The Lady Dutch have not given up a goal since their season-opening loss to Dowling Catholic and defeated a pair of 3A schools last weekend – including Urbandale, who had been ranked tenth. The Pella High girls soccer team is 6-1 on the season and will take part in a tournament at Nevada Saturday.
