Following their first match-play victory of the season, the Pella High girls tennis team tries to win again at home this evening, as they’ll host conference foe Oskaloosa. Lady Dutch head coach Tiffany Rohe says the team has been making steady improvements each time they’ve gone out to compete; adding that doubles play has improved, in particular.

“A lot of it I feel has to do with personalities. Can they click on the court? Can they mesh? Can they complement each other in different ways,” said Rohe. “I really feel that since the beginning of the season I’ve been able to match some really good doubles teams together and I feel like that’s one of our strengths.”

The first serve between the Pella High and Oskaloosa tennis teams is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. this afternoon at the Caldwell Park tennis courts west of Pella High School.
