Taking on squads from larger schools, the PCM girls soccer team struggled to find opportunities in a tournament on Saturday; as they were held scoreless in regulation in three matches.

The Mustangs were shut down 6-0 by Indianola, then took on Marshalltown; a match that finished regulation in a scoreless tie. The Bobcats won the shootout 3-to-1 to take the win. The PCM girls closed out the tournament with a 2-0 loss to Grinnell.

Despite the final outcome, the Mustangs certainly found a positive in goalkeeper Taylor Davenport, who recorded a total of 36 saves on the day. The upcoming schedule isn’t any easier, as they’ll host traditional power Nevada on Tuesday.
