ACTS of Iowa is doing a Service Surge in Knoxville next month. A Service Surge is where large groups of volunteers get together to tackle multiple projects in one community, in one day. Organizer Joel Bennet says last year around 300 volunteers came to the Knoxville Service Surge. When volunteers sign up, they can list specific skills they have, so they can be placed on the correct project. Openings for project leaders are still available.
