Race fans Saturday night at the Knoxville Raceway were treated to exciting and somewhat controversial finishes at the half mile. The 360 A-Main came down to the final few yards and then some to decide a winner. Josh Higday and Nate Van Haaften battled all race long and with 12 laps to go, it appeared the Van Haaften had made the move to win the race as he passed two cars to take the lead. He would hold the lead until the final lap when Higday used the high side in turn four and the aid of a lapped car to block Van Haaften to apparently win his 18th career 360 race. However during tech inspection, it was found that Higday had used an illegal tire and he was disqualified handing the win to Van Haaften. Van Haaften said the daring move with 12 laps left was something he had to take advantage of. The 410s also had the World of Outlaws paying a visit and Sammy Swindell won for the 48th time in his career at Knoxville holding the lead for the last half of the race. Craig Dollansky was second followed by Joey Saldana in third place.
