Storms rolled into the Marion County area Friday afternoon, delaying – and eventually ending – the Pella High boys golf quad at the Bos Landen Golf Club in Pella. Little Dutch head coach Bob Fessler says the teams – which included his squad, Knoxville, Albia and Chariton – got in roughly five or six holes before a lightning strike forced everyone back to the clubhouse.

After waiting it out, it was determined that more stormy weather was headed their way and the event was called off. Both Pella High and Knoxville’s boys golf teams are in action again on Monday, as the Panthers host the Little Hawkeye Conference golf meet at Pine Knolls Country Club in Knoxville.
