Winners Announced In ‘Fishing For Nick’ Crappie Tournament; Over $2000 Raised

A fishing tournament Saturday benefited the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Fishing for Nick Crappie Tournament was Saturday at Lake Red Rock. Cash prizes were awarded to the first, second, and third place winners. First place went to Kyle Kennedy of Knoxville whose catch of ten crappie weighed ten pounds, eight ounces.

A father/son duo finished second and third with Cody Batterson of Pleasant Hill hauling in a catch of nine pounds, 6 ounces, and father Cory not far behind in third place at nine pounds 47 ounces. Twenty-one people participated in the fishing tournament, and officials said $2,060 was raised for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
