Plenty of other activity is occurring in Knoxville today.

– Pioneer Days runs at the Marion County Historical Village from 7am until 4pm. You can see the full schedule below.

– The Knoxville Farmers’ Market kicks off its 2012 season downtown, running from 8am until noon.

– The Knoxville Children’s Bike Rodeo occurs from 10am until 2pm north of the Swamp Fox. Bob Culbert, one of the organizers of the event, says that the program will help children learn bicycle safety tips so to stay safe on the roads as summer begins. He notes that wearing a helmet won’t make too much of a difference your child doesn’t know the basics of safety. The Knoxville Police Department will also be on hand to help the children. The event is being sponsored by Windstream, Swamp Fox, Art 101, the Knoxville Optimist Club, and Knoxville Police Department.

– It’s Marion County Cattlemen and Corn and Soybean Growers’ Night at the Knoxville Raceway. Hot laps start at 6:45; time trials are at 7:15. As always, you can hear all the racing action on live on KNIA/KRLS and streaming live right hear at kniakrls.com. Pre-race coverage starts at 5:30.
