Windy at warm conditions at the River Valley Golf Course in Adel couldn’t stand in the way of the goals of the Pella High boys golf team, as the Little Dutch handily distanced themselves in front of Iowa Falls-Alden to win the District Title.  

Pella shot a combined 325 – 8 strokes better than the Cadets – as individual medalist Lucas Boyd again led the way; this time carding a 74.  Boyd got plenty of back-up, though, as teammate Corey Elliot took third with an 80, and teammates Colton Bradley and Payne Pleima rounded out the top scores with an 85 and 86, respectively.  

The victory lands the Pella High boys golf team in the Class 3A State Golf Tournament, which will take place next weekend in Ames.
