Steady pitching and a strong offensive pop in the early innings helped the Twin Cedars softball team notch a 4-0 win Wednesday night over Southeast Warren. The Sabers took a 2-0 lead after one inning and scored the other two runs in the third frame, as Brooke Dunkin, Brittney Roby and Maddison Goemaat all registered two hits to lead the Twin Cedars offense.

Roby scored twice and had an RBI triple, while pitcher Morgan Rozenboom kept Southeast Warren’s offense in check. Rozenboom pitched the complete game, striking out seven and walking four; while allowing just two hits. The Twin Cedars softball team gears up for a big early season meeting tonight, as they take on cross-county rival Melcher-Dallas. The Varsity game will be played first.
