The Knoxville Boys and Girls Track and Field Squads will run at the Class 3A District/Regional at Dallas Center-Grimes today. The Panther boys are confident they can get a number of events to the state meet next week. Coach Mike Cunningham II feels at least ten or more events can qualify, but knows how good the field will be at Dallas Center-Grimes even without Pella or some of the time contenders they have faced all season. On the girls side, Coach Jeremy Van Engen admits it will be an uphill climb for a lot of his girls, but feels good about high jump where Alex Gibson and Chambray Daugherty still hold the top two spots in the Regional according to Quickstats. Van Engen says long jump is another event that has a chance of scoring a trip to the Blue Oval next week with Emily Belloma who currently holds the second longest leap of 15 feet 3 1/2 inches.
