After hosting the World of Outlaws last week and a week one rainout, the Knoxville Raceway Championship Cup drivers are looking to start the chase for the track championship tonight. 24 drivers in a tie for third place in the standings with 115 points. Danny Lasoski actually leads the 410 points…but there is no guarantee he will race in Knoxville this week…and the same holds true for Brian Brown, who will not race at Knoxville every week. The 360 points chance has started with Carson McCarl, the youngest son of Six-time Track Champion Terry McCarl leading by two points over three-time defending 360 champion Clint Garner with last week’s 360 winner Nate Van Haaften in third place. The 305s have yet to have a race at Knoxville this season so tonight will be their season opener. You can listen to the triple-header of sprint car racing tonight on KNIA/KRLS also kniakrls.com starting at 5:30 with Live Track Side and 7:30 with Race Night’s Live.
