PC Girls Hang On for Soccer Win Against Chariton

The Pella Christian girls’ soccer team defeated Chariton 2-1 Friday night.  Bri Warden scored two first-half goals for the Eagles, with Morgan DeRuiter and Lindsey Pierson assisting on the goals.  Chariton pulled to within one with a goal at in the second half, but the Eagle defense stiffened for the last 31 minutes to secure the win.  Shelby Sytsma led the Eagle defense with 33 defensive stops.  The Eagles are now 6-10 and travel to Knoxville on Tuesday.
