PC Girls Outshoot Knoxville on Way to 2-0 Win

The Pella Christian girls’ soccer team defeated Knoxville 2-0 Tuesday night.  The Eagles out-shot the Panthers 19-2.  

Abby Pleima scored the Eagles’ first goal at 7:00.  The Knoxville defense kept the Eagles from scoring for the next 49 minutes until Morgan DeRuiter scored at 56:00.  Trisha Fopma assisted on DeRuiter’s goal.

Jenna Roose had to make only 2 saves in goal for the Eagles.  Shelby Sytsma led the Eagle defense with 41 defensive stops.  Kayla Groenendyk recorded 33 defensive stops.
