Hutch Burns went 2-for-3 at the plate and had PCM’s only RBI, as the Mustangs suffered a 3-1 loss at the hands of Saydel Tuesday night. The Eagles scored all of their runs in the third inning and were able to hold PCM to just five hits on the night.

Taking the loss for PCM was pitcher Alex DeWitte, who allowed three earned runs on six hits. He did strike out six Saydel batters, but also walked two and gave another pair passes to first base after they were hit by pitches.

The loss evens the PCM baseball team’s record to 1-1 on the season. They’ll host Norwalk in their home-opener on Thursday.
