The PCM boys golf team finished the regular season unbeaten, claiming the team title Tuesday night at the North Mahaska Invite.  The Mustangs carded a 148, putting them 18 strokes in front of the host Warhawks at the Prairie Knolls Country Club course.  Pella Christian’s boys shot an admirable 169 to finish third in the seven-team field.

PCM claimed the top five spots in the individual standings, led by medalist Hunter Van Veen’s one-under par score of 34.  It’s the eighth time in 11 meets that Van Veen has claimed the top spot.  His teammates were right behind him, though, with three more carding matching 38s.  The Pella Christian boys were very consistent with their scoring as well, landing their top five scores in the low 40s.  Mason Howerzyl and Brennan Veenstra tied for the low round for the Eagles with a 41.
